Contact Lens Evaluations
We highly recommend that contact lens wearers get an annual eye exam. The exam will allow us to determine how your eyes have adjusted to your current contact lenses, check your present contact lenses' condition, and make any needed changes.
Contact Lens Prescription
After your exam, you will receive your prescription with specific contact lens specifications appropriate for your eyes. A current and valid prescription is required by law to buy contact lenses. We can fill your contact lens prescription for you.
Contact Lens Fitting
Our optometrist will select the right contact lenses for your prescription. Your lenses should fit comfortably. We will take measurements of your eyes and provide you with your initial pair of contact lenses, as well as lens care and handling instructions. You will wear the new contact lenses for one to two weeks and then return to our clinic for a follow-up appointment to assess your eyes tolerance to the contacts. The doctor will check visual acuity and address any concerns that you have. Follow-up visits are imperative as part of the fitting process. It is vital to keep your scheduled follow-up appointments throughout the fitting process. Most manufacturers offer a 60 to 90-day warranty and during this time we can make changes without charging you any additional fees. After the warranty has expired additional fees will apply.
